Guest Speaker: Shaun Booth

Topic: Native Alternatives to Invasive Garden Plants

Invasive species are the second biggest threat to biodiversity loss (after habitat destruction), yet so many of them are grown on purpose in gardens. In this talk, Shaun will highlight some of the most common invasive plants in our gardens and how we can replace them with native plants to provide habitat for beneficial wildlife.

Shaun will be selling his new book at our meeting: The Gardener's Guide to Native Plants of the Southern Great Lakes Region, Volume II. Cost per book is $45
