Spring Garden Prep Done Right!
This skill development workshop is offered by Frank Kershaw for EHS members and non-members. Frank Kershaw is an award-winning horticulturist with 50+ years of industry experience. He is an accomplished teacher, writer, photographer and expert plantsman.
Frank will take us on a hands-on tour through his garden to teach and share some ‘tricks of the trade’ to help us prepare our gardens for another great season.
The key areas Frank will focus on include:
Prepping garden beds - cleaning, amending, top dressing and optimizing your soil
Cutting back and pruning - vines, trees (coniferous primarily) and shrubs
Dividing and transplanting - perennials, new and mature plants
Mulching - types of mulch and how to properly apply around plants for maximum impact
Prepping your lawn - to optimize impact of fertilizing
Join us for this 3 hour workshop to get ready for a great season in your garden.

What you need: Workshop participants need to dress for the weather, bring a ‘camp/lawn’ chair, a small lunch, notebook/pen. Tea and nibbles will be offered.
Cost: $25 per EHS members; Non-member $50
